In todays world that is ever changing and where technology is something that is so dynamic that we buy something today and it is replaced by something that comes with a better technology. We had the dual core processors in our Smartphones, which were replaced by the quad core processors and now it seems that it is time for the sun to set down on these too. The octa-core chipsets look to have become the next big thing in the mobile phone processor technology and all the big and not so big Smartphone mobile companies seem to have jumped on the bandwagon and are planning to come out with Smartphones that supports the octa core chipset processor.
The first one to launch a Smartphone with this chipset is the company Media Tek that launched the MT6592 Soc and also the prototype launched by Intex. These Smartphones that would be packed with the octa core chipset will give personal computers a run for their money as they would process information as fast and quick as a PC. †The announcement by Intex to come up with a 6 inch Smartphone with HD technology is the first by an Indian Smartphone manufacturer. Other international brands like Samsung, Sony are also not to be left behind as they are also working on a Smartphone with the octa core chipset. As days pass one can expect brands like Huawei, Alcatel, Micromax, HTC, etc. to also announce their plans for Smartphones with this processor. Below is a list of the top 5 Smartphones sporting the octa core chip set processor, and these can be touted as game changers in the Smartphone market.
This Taiwanese manufacturer of Smartphones had launched the HTC One earlier this year and was able to garner quite a few eyeballs and interest towards its Smartphones. There is a rumor in the market that they have already started working on the HTC two and this one will come with a 5 inch screen and will also have the octa core processor under the hood. The phone will also come with 3 GB RAM and an internal memory of 32 GB. The device is set to be launched in the month of March, 2014.
Intex, has become the first Indian Smartphone manufacturer to have launched the Media Tek MT 6592 Soc Smartphone that comes packed with the octa core processor. This phone has a 6 inch screen display and comes with HD technology. The RAM can support up to 2 GB and the internal memory is up till 32 GB. The rear camera stands at 13 MP and works with auto focus and also LED flash. The front camera is 5 MP, which is quite good and much better than what one normally gets in their front camera of Smartphones. The dual Yamaha 1420 speakers work quite well and the phone is scheduled to be launched in January, 2014.
With the launch of the Xperia C in China, in the first half of the year 2013, Sony created a buzz in the market and Sony was able create a good interest amongst its consumers. As the phone came with the chipset Media Tek. Sony, is supposedly coming out with an upgraded version of this phone and has code named it as Tianchi. This one will sport the true known octa core processor and the same would be launched in all the emerging markets of the world. The release date along with the price of the phone is yet to be known, but this one will definitely be a game changer.
With the launch of the Micromax Turbo A250, this Smartphone manufacturer gave the world a taste of a Full HD high-end Smartphone and now they are looking at providing the world with an experience of a Smartphone built on the octa core processing system. One can look forward to hearing some announcement about this one by early next year, and this one too is supposed to come with full HD display and a much better camera than the previous Smartphones that have been launched by Micromax.
The Chinese Smartphone makers are definitely someone that cannot be left behind when it comes to coming up with phones that would sport the latest technology. Huawei, is supposed to come up with a 1.6 GHz octa core K3V2 chipset Smartphone that is named as the P6S and is said to be the successor of the P6, which was a 4.7 inch screen Smartphone launched in the first half of 2013. This P6S has already made appearance in the Chinese market and this means that one can expect this one to be launched quite soon (anytime next year).
The phone is supposed to be 4.7 inch screen with a 720p HD display, and the RAM will be 2 GB. The rear camera will be 8 MP and the ROM will be 16 GB. The processor is rumored to be built on the ARM big architecture with 1.8 GHz dual core cortex along with a cortex A 7 processor.
Thus, it is abundantly clear that the game is changing in the Smartphone business and the same is evident with the various Smartphones that are either on the verge of being launched or are being manufactured as this article is being written. Thus, all those of us who are happy with our dual cores or quad core processor Smartphones really need to understand the need of the hour and may be looking at upgrading ourselves to the new octa-core processor sporting Smartphones, as these would definitely rule the roost for some time to come (though we cannot say that confidently).
